I bring to your attention my plan to establish a
foundation to help children, initially in South East Asia, by building and running drop
in centres in rural areas to provide food, accommodation and education assistance for
children in local communities.

I am an English citizen originating from Bangkok, Thailand and I have been
working as a nurse for twenty years in England. After the death of my brother, a teacher in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, in a car crash I visited the arwa where he taught
and was touched by the work he had been doing at the school. I was upset by the
conditions I witnessed there - The hard condiotions in which the teachers work, the
poor nutrition received by the children and the difficultie some children face in
attending school.

After my visit I began to provide money for sponsorships at the school where
he worked and I began sending money for projects such as building a library and
buying computers and projectors for the school.

I want to continue working for the benefit of children in Thailand and the
surrounding countries (Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam) through the foundations I hope to establish and the facilities I will build and manage.
